After graduating from the University of Calabar, he worked
in a hotel and sang karaoke at a local bar he managed. Iyanya began
developing his vocal abilities at local bars which include: Fiesta Fries
Bar, Mirage Nite Club, and West-Life. Iyanya cited British singer Craig
David and American hip hop artist R Kelly as his key musical
influences. Iyanya was motivated to pursue music professionally after
watching the celebrity lifestyle of 2 Face Idibia and Olu Maintain.
Iyanya started as a rapper, going by the name "Lofty".
Nyra is a Nigerian Performing Artist out of Houston TX. Both of her
parents hail from the Capital of Delta State, Asaba. Emma Nyra along
with her three siblings, are first generation Nigerian which means that
they are the first generation to be born abroad (Texas). Nyra recently
graduated from Texas
Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health
Administration with a Minor in Public Affairs. Upon obtaining her
degree, Nyra has transitioned to Lagos, Nigeria with the full intent of
taking her musical aspirations to the next level with the release of her
two newest singles Everything I Do’ ft. Iyanya and ‘Ori Mi Wu’ both
produced by the mastermind behind ‘Kukere’, D’Tunes. Both singles have
already gotten massive air time on major radio stations in Nigeria, and
have garnered high ranking on top music sharing sites! Emma Nyra’s other
accolades include the fact that although her passion is singing, she is
also a model and an actress. Nyra has acted in various Nollywood films
including Rebound with Van Vicker and Uche Jumbo and Keep My Dream which
features Ini Edo and Pascal Atuma.
Within the modelling world, Nyra is an accomplished runway and
print model and she has walked in 50+ fashion shows in Texas, Florida,
and New York, representing the Nigerian Reunion Association. In order to
garner experience with radio prowess, Nyra also hosted two Internet
Syndicated Radio Shows on GidiLounge Radio, called Reality Check which
aired on Monday evenings and GidiLounge Request Live which aired on
Saturday evenings.
