Five brothers have been dragged before an Ogidi Magistrate’s Court in
Anambra State presided over by Emelda Chu-kwudebelu, on a five-count
charge of conspiracy, stealing and fraud.
The accused persons are
Walter Osefoh (44), Augustine Osefoh (58), Christopher Osefoh (60),
Cyril Osefoh (45) and Chidi Osefoh (53).
In the charge, the Police
prosecution alleged that the accused persons had sometime in 2012 at
Umuoji in Idemili Magisterial District, unlawfully conspired among
themselves to commit a felony, to wit stealing.
The prosecution
further alleged that the accused persons on the same date and venue,
with intent to defraud, obtained N4 million, property of members and
benefi-ciaries of Chief S. N. Osefoh Family Trust by representing
themselves as the landlords of 2, Ahaeto Street, D-Line, Port Harcourt,
Rivers State.
The presiding Magistrate, Emelda Chu-kwudebelu adjourned the matter till today.
